A tremendous undertaking has reached fruition in the Bronx. This past weekend, “Street Art Street Life: From the 1950’s to Now” opened with a huge street fair in front of the Bronx Museum. The showing contains global works from late 50’s grainy black and white photographs to current video installations created specifically for the exhibit.

Lately, the trend has been for galleries and museums to pick up on street works and offer the artists well deserved exposure to contemporary art enthusiasts. This multimedia experience covers the street going back five decades and proffers the path that led to this acceptance.
